Teresa "Terri" Jean (Myers) Newman, age 56, passed away all too soon Thursday morning, July 16, 2020 at her home in Martinsville.
</p>
<p>
Terri was born on February 27, 1964, in Grant County, to her parents, John and Betty J. (McAninch) Myers. She attended Martinsville High School and went on to serve with the United States Army.
</p>
<p>
Terri was a Service Associate for First Merchants Bank in Morgantown since April 2017. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Manager for 15 years at Citizens Bank in Martinsville from 2000-2015. In her free time, she loved traveling, vegetable and flower gardening, spending time outside in the sun and finding a deal at yard sales with her daughter. Terri enjoyed spending time with her cat Boppy and favorite Golden Retriever, Bella, grilling out for her family around the holidays and spending time with friends. She never met a stranger, loved to laugh and found the joy in life.

Terri will be greatly missed by her daughter, Britni, and her husband, T.J. Smead of Indianapolis, loving mother, Betty Myers of Martinsville, boyfriend, Bill Meredith of Morgantown, good friend Tammy Howard of Martinsville several aunts, uncles and cousins and her First Merchant Bank family as well as several close friends.

Terri was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Myers in 2002 and her father, John Myers in 2020 and infant children Wendy Dawn &amp; Jeffrey Benton.
</p>
<p>
The Revs. Barry Whitaker &amp; John Allen Whitaker will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Martinsville First Church of the Nazarene: 1609 John R. Wooden Drive in Martinsville. Friends may call from 4- 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation &amp; Personalization Center.
