Helen “Sally” Marie (Neville) Sidebottom, 63 of Franklin passed away on October 9, 2020 in Indianapolis.

She was born on February 27, 1957 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Donald Gene Neville and Shirley Ann (Whittington) Beechler. She married James Sidebottom. She is survived by children, Johnnie (Jennifer) Hagan; Rhonda (Jerrick) Gossett; Angela (Gary) Asher; Kimberly (Brandon Chambers) Asher and Bradley Asher. Other survivors are her siblings, Donnie (Sharon) Neville; Ronnie Neville, Jenny Neville, Billy Neville, Sheila (Tony) Foster; Sandy Neville, Randy Neville, Rodney Neville, and Sherry Neville, all of Edinburgh; and Donna Neville and Holly Neville, both of Louisville, Kentucky. Also surviving are grandchildren, Seth (Cassandra), Danielle, Alexandria, Parker, Chasity, Laura, Stephanie Alyssa, Ian (Trisha), Kayla (Jordan), Bailey (Levi), Sabrina, Xavier, Jordan, Doug, Hailey, Caleb; twenty great-grandchildren, longtime friends, adopted sister, MalMal and brother, KY and friend, Frank Sanford, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, James Sidebottom; son, Douglas Allen Asher (1 -6-77); former husband, Stanley Asher; great grandsons, Karter Popplewell and Harley Hagan; niece, Melissa Neville and nephew, Michael Neville.

Sally attended Edinburgh schools.

She was a CNA for many years at Angel Care in Franklin. She also worked for Gateway Service in the early 1990’s.

She was a thirty plus year member of the Full Gospel Church in Edinburgh. She loved slots at the casinos. She truly loved her children and grandchildren and was very close to her siblings and family. She enjoyed family reunions. Sally was a hippie at heart and a free spirit.

Pastor Douglas Smith will conduct a celebration of Sally’s life on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 4:00p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Friends and family may call from 1:00p.m. until the time of service at 4:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Shelbyville.
