Margaret (Purdy) Payton, 87 of Franklin passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
</p>
<p>
She was born on June 8, 1933 in Liberty, Kentucky to Albert and Myrtie (Glover) Purdy. She married Harold Eugene Payton on May 27, 1959. He preceded her in passing. Margaret is survived by son, Paul Edward Turner of Franklin; daughter, Shari Jean (Tony) Sabatino of Columbus; seven grandchildren, April Marie Turner, Paul William Gaertner, Chrissy Turner, Charles Turner, Gwen Turner, Joshua Buchanan and Nichole Curtis; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Harold and five siblings.
</p>
<p>
She was employed by the Indiana Masonic Home in Food Service, retiring after twenty plus years of dedicated service.
</p>
<p>
Margaret was a member of Franklin Memorial Church (Victory Church). She enjoyed camping with her family and loved watching western movies. She also loved going to the park and having picnics with her family.
</p>
<p>
A private family service will be held. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
