FRANKLIN
Wilmath Lucille Ridner Childers 93 of Franklin, Indiana Thursday, October 7, 2021. She was born December 2, 1927, in Drum, Kentucky to the late Jennings “Genius” Brian & Okel Elizabeth Hargis Ridner. Lucille used her green thumb in gardening the family’s extensive garden at home, growing, and canning various vegetables. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Lucille was a 25-year member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Childers; a daughter, Patty Sue Towles;, siblings, Wanda Mounce, Vonis Ridner, Cyrus Jack Ridner, Londis Jay Ridner, Phyllis Jean Ridner. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Emily “Betsy” Caudle; sisters, Eula Rose Phelps, Emmaline Bradley; a brother, Richard Ridner; four grandchildren, David (Karen) Towles, Amy (Brent) Roberts, Jeff (Nikki) Caudle, Jon (Michelle) Caudle; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Lucille’s life will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 13th at Calvary Baptist Church 200 Sunset Blvd, Greenwood, IN with a visitation from 11:00 am to service time.
