GREENWOOD
Barbara Jean (Hughes) Brown, 76 of Greenwood, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
She was born on September 14, 1945 in Franklin, Indiana to Raymond and Violet E. (Mayo) Hughes. Barbara married Jimmie Frank Brown. He preceded her in passing. She is survived by sons, Brian Brown (Christine) and Randall F. Brown; grandchildren, Morgan Brown (Allison) and Jessica Boungert (Dan); three great grandchildren, Parker, Jayde and Hudson; brother, John D. Warner (Liticia) and sister, Connie Rasmussen (Gary). She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Jimmie; sister, Linda Coller and daughter-in-law, Melissa Morris Brown.
She attended Franklin Community Schools.
Barbara was employed by Diamond Chain in Indianapolis for nineteen years and later retired from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
She was a member of Providence Christian Church.
A celebration of life service will be conducted on Saturday, November 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Harris Cemetery.
