Trojans sweep Warriors

Center Grove cruised to a dual-meet sweep of visiting Whiteland on Tuesday, winning the boys meet by a 145-21 score and taking a 148-38 win on the girls side.

The Trojan boys got individual victories from Ben Clarkston (200 IM and 100 freestyle), Garrett Crist (200 and 500 free), Connor Conkin (50 free), Angelo Lawrence (100 backstroke), Evan Hernandez (100 breaststroke) and Robbie Miller (diving). Earning wins for the girls were Grace Clarkston (200 free and 100 back), Mallory McDonald (200 IM and 100 fly), Tenley Wilkins (50 free), Kiersten Smith (500 free), Laney Brooks (breaststroke) and Mia Prusiecki (diving). Center Grove also swept the relay events.

Woodmen defeat Falcons

Greenwood got the better of Perry Meridian, winning the boys meet 99-77 and taking the girls meet by a 112-68 count.

The Woodmen girls took all three relays and got individual wins from Madison Peckinpaugh (100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke), Chloe Vitatoe (50 free and 100 backstroke), Hailey Peckinpaugh (200 IM and 500 free), Charli Graves (200 free), Reagan Graves (100 butterfly). Taking first for the boys were Conner Peckinpaugh (200 IM and 100 freestyle), Joe Sheets (50 and 500 free), Arya Gohkale (200 free), Ethan Rose (100 backstroke) and Andrew Mears (100 fly).

Trojans prevail in OT

Playing in its third overtime game of the season, Center Grove managed to pick up a 54-48 victory at Plainfield on Tuesday night. Aubrie Booker and Savanna Bischoff each finished with 12 points for the Trojans (6-5), followed by Kaho Takeda and Ella Hobson with eight apiece.

Royals advance in tourney

Roncalli survived its opening-round game in the Marion County tournament, pulling out a 34-32 win over Franklin Central. Jordan Hendricks had 10 points for the Royals (4-4), while Claire Lindsey added nine points and five rebounds.

Cougars win second straight

Max Booher paced a balanced attack with 16 points as Greenwood Christian beat Victory College Prep, 70-50, on Tuesday. Blake Shewmaker (13), Matt Teike (12) and Aden Sloan (11) also scored in double figures for the Cougars (2-2).
