Bobby Glenn Sweet

RUSHVILLE

Bobby Glenn Sweet, 82 of Rushville, passed away on January 15, 2022 in Shelbyville. He was born on April 24, 1939 in Pulaski, KY to the late Lewis G. Sweet and Edna Marie (Thompson) Chew. Bobby attended Pulaski High School. He married Elizabeth “Eloise” (Slack) Sweet on July 30, 1960 and she survives.

Bobby retired from 14 years at Williamson Polishing and Plating in Indianapolis. He also worked on antique cars and trucks in Mays for over 17 years. Bobby was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church and was a faithful member and served God in many areas in the Christian Ministries. He enjoyed working on puzzles and watching the Cincinnati Reds Baseball Team, Indianapolis Colts Football and Indiana University Basketball.

In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his sons, Deron (Rhonda) Sweet of SC, Matthew (Lorna) Sweet of Costa Rica and Mark Allan (Crystal) Sweet of Rush County; daughters, Tina (Bruce) Enlow of Fountaintown, JoAnn (Darren) Richard of Gary, IN. He will also be missed by his sister, Bonnie Brown of OH and half-brother, Dannie Chew; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Rex Sweet and Roy Sweet; sisters, Lola Vaught, Linda Gilliam and infant sister.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11 AM in Moster Mortuary. Friends are welcome to visit the family on Monday evening from 4 PM- 8PM in the mortuary. Burial will be held in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family would like donations made to Greenwood Bible Baptist Church Missions, 1461 Sheek Rd, Greenwood, IN 46143.
