Grizzly Cubs outhit Woodmen

Logen Devenport drove in five runs and Franklin pounded out 17 hits in a 22-7 win at Greenwood on Wednesday. Landen Basey scored five runs for the Grizzly Cubs (15-6, 9-3 Mid-State), while Beau Baker, Max Clark and Pryce Rucker all hit home runs. Landen Smith went 3 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the Woodmen (5-11, 2-9).

Warriors fall to Falcons

Whiteland suffered a 7-2 home loss to Perry Meridian. Brayden Roy drove in both runs for the Warriors (9-12, 5-7 Mid-State).

Whiteland blanks Perry

Debbie Hill pitched a three-hitter and went 3 for 3 with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs as Class 4A No. 2 Whiteland routed Perry Meridian, 11-0, on Wednesday. Kiley Sullivan and Ava Smith drove in two runs each for the Warriors (19-0, 12-0 Mid-State), with Sullivan collecting three hits.

Warriors top Quakers, Lancers

Will Davis led all players with a 32 as Whiteland picked up wins over Plainfield and Edinburgh on Wednesday with a team score of 158. Dylan Gross carded a 40 for the Warriors, followed by Evan Meece and Garrett Butler with rounds of 43. Max Blandford led the Lancers with a 40.

Girls tennis

Braves edge Pioneers

A doubles sweep allowed Indian Creek to squeak past Mooresville, 3-2, on Wednesday. Emilee Scott and Olivia Perry won in the No. 1 spot for the Braves (12-3), while the No. 2 duo of Avery Burress and Addy Tunell were also victorious. Lauren Foster rolled to a straight-set win at first singles.

Trojans get past Panthers

Center Grove eked out a 3-2 victory over Bloomington South. Hudson Gilstorf and Valeria Arriz earned a point at No. 1 doubles for the Trojans, while Ava Beecher and Emerson Donaldson claimed wins in the second and third singles spots.
