Royals’ Rothrock earns Gatorade honor
Roncalli junior Keagan Rothrock was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Indiana on Thursday, earning that award for the second consecutive season. The Whiteland native has again been one of the top pitchers in the nation while also leading the unbeaten Royals at the plate with a .529 average and 14 home runs. Roncalli will play West Lafayette Harrison for the Class 4A state championship at Purdue University on Saturday evening.
