Deadline for election letters is Oct. 17

Paid political letters to be submitted for publication in the Daily Journal before the Nov. 8 general election must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26. The Daily Journal publishes letters to the editor during campaign seasons in support of or in opposition to political candidates and/or parties only after a $25 fee is received.

To submit a letter, go to therepublic.com/submit-letter-to-editor. The fee may be paid by credit card by calling Daily Journal at 317-736-2777. If paying by check or money order, payment may be mailed to 30 S. Water St., Suite A, Franklin, IN, 46131, or you may pay in cash in person at our office.

Daily Journal’s standard rules for letters to the editor also apply to paid political letters. Among these, letters may be no more than 500 words, writers may have no more than one letter published every 30 days, and the Daily Journal reserves the right to edit letters for accuracy, content and style.
