GREENWOOD
John Trout, Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of October 26,2022. He was 87 years old. John was born in Beech Grove, IN to his parents Stanley Trout and Frieda Troy. He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. John met his wife Sue and together they shared 48 years of marriage.
John worked as a laborer for Allison General Motors and retired in 1979 after 43 years of service. John enjoyed taking care of his yard as well as traveling with his friends. He always loved to play cards and other games. He liked bowling and golfing with friends and family. The memories created will be cherished by those he leaves behind
John is survived by his wife Sue Trout; his children, Wanda (Dave) Lyon, Linda Chappelle, Sandy Shunk; his step-son, Larry Ellis; his 18 grandchildren; his 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth (Mary) Trout, Roberta Dow, and Merry Marzano; several nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Cancer Association in John’s honor.
