Betty Jo (Jenkins) Williams, 76 of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with lung cancer at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN with her family at her bedside.

She was born June 15, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Karl Hobart Jenkins and Garnet Edna (Burke) Jenkins. She married Gary L. Williams on August 29, 1964.

Betty was a 1964 graduate of Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH and attended the University of Cincinnati. She worked for AT&T and the University of Cincinnati prior to moving with her husband and two daughters to Greenwood, IN in 1979.

She retired as Vice-President of Insurance Corporation of America in 1999 to enjoy the companionship of her five beloved grandchildren. Betty loved maintaining a beautiful home and garden, traveling to virtually every state and wintering in her Ft. Myers home. Most of all she loved and cherished her five grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years Gary L. Williams of Greenwood, IN, her two daughters Tamatha Beechem (Brian) of Erlanger, KY and Stacey Gibson (Matthew) of Greenwood, IN, grandchildren Lindsay, Logan, and Olivia Beechem and William and Maggie Gibson, sisters Patty Dye (Fred), Linda Lorenz, and Carol Niemann (Donny), two nieces and one nephew.

Her parents preceded her in death.

The Rev. Dr. J. Wesley Hertel will conduct a service on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 12 Noon at Mt. Auburn Church 3100 West Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 11AM until service time at the church.

A committal service will be conducted on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11AM at the Chapel at Mt. Moriah Cemetery 686 Mt. Moriah Drive Cincinnati, OH 45245.
