Kroger hosting in-store, virtual hiring events

A local grocery store chain will be hosting hiring events for a variety of open positions from now until May.

Officials with Kroger’s Central Division announced Tuesday they were seeking to hire new associates for roles in retail, supply chain, manufacturing and delivery. The grocery store chain will be holding hiring events from now until May, according to a Kroger news release.

Potential retail associates are invited to learn more about retail opens by attending one of Kroger’s weekly in-store hiring events. These will take place from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. every Tuesday from March 7 to May 13, the news release says.

Those interested in learning about supply chain and delivery roles can participate in virtual sessions on April 4 and May 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. A March 7 event has already taken place.

Store officials say hiring event participants can expect to meet a Kroger associate who can answer any questions they may have about a career in the grocery industry and take part in open interviews. Candidates are asked to complete an online application at thekrogerco.com/careers in advance of the event and “come prepared to be themselves.”

Veterans and their spouses interested in pursuing a career with Kroger’s family of companies are encouraged to join a virtual recruitment event on March 14 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event will spotlight associate veteran leaders and provide insight on the veteran experience within the organization, the news release says.
