Margaret Ann Sims

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS

Margaret Ann Sims, 97, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 in San Angelo, Texas. She was a former longtime resident of Franklin, Indiana.

She was born on July 4, 1926 in Nineveh, Indiana to the late Alva E. and Elizabeth I. (Wells) Waltz. She married Lawrence A. Sims on March 28, 1953. Ann is survived by her son, Larry (Tammy) Graves; granddaughters, Kim (Jody) Satallante, Christina (Justin) Brumley and Penney (Eric) Neiswenter; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons. Also surviving is sister, Rosemary Leonard of Missouri. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Lawrence; brothers, Tom (Jeanetta) Waltz, Gordon Waltz and Raymond Waltz; sisters, Janet Harris and Loretta Hoard and brothers-in-law, Dennis Hoard and Robert Leonard.

Ann was a graduate of Nineveh High School.

She worked for the Post Exchange at Camp Atterbury; the Garment Factory and after thirty plus years, she retired from Kroger.

Ann was a member of the Nineveh Chapter, Order of Eastern Star for seventy plus years. She loved to go clothes shopping, enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets in search of Tiara glassware and doing word search puzzles.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening, March 15, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
