Phyllip “Phil” B. Campbell

INDIANAPOLIS

Phyllip “Phil” B. Campbell, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 12, 2024. He was born on September 30, 1943 in St. John, Canada to the late Burton Campbell and Dorothy Campbell.

Phil received his Master’s degree in education from Indiana University, where he also was in the IU Marching 100. He then went on to teach science for 27 years. He also was a business owner in the Greenwood community for over 35 years. He owned and operated 500 Tours Inc. and Campbell’s Highland Grille.

He loved spending time with his family, family cookouts, and watching his grandkids sporting events. He also enjoyed watching the Colts, IU Football and Basketball, walking his dog in the neighborhood and talking with the neighbors. He was very fond of chocolates.

He will be loved and missed by his children, Todd (Haggis) Campbell, Steve (Kelly) Campbell, and Jennie (Sam) Campbell; three grandchildren, Boden Campbell, Berkley Campbell, and Bellamy Campbell

He married his wife and best friend, Lindalee Campbell, whom he married on January 2, 1965. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his two siblings, Roland and Cheryl Ann.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, followed by the service at 7:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
