The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is the trade organization for the firearm industry. Each year, NSSF hosts the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT). The event takes place annually at the Venetian Expo and Caesars in Las Vegas. This year, it occurred Jan. 17-20. Reports indicate strong attendance, with enthusiastic buyers and sellers.

College notebook: Patton makes his points for Grizzlies
Senior Nick Patton excelled for the Franklin College men’s track and field team at the Mount St. Joseph indoor invitational in Cincinnati. The former Greenwood athlete was part of the winning 4x200-meter relay that posted a time of 1 minute, 45.85 seconds, and was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.10 seconds.
