FRANKLIN
Paul Richard Mowery, 90, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022.
He was born on December 13, 1931 in Brownsburg, Indiana. Paul married Daphne Joan (Parker) Mowery on June 26, 1954. They had celebrated sixty-five years of marriage together prior to her passing on December 14, 2019. He is survived by Andra Mowery, Daughter-in-law; Dory Mowery, daughter-in-law; Jeff Minor, son-in-law; grandchildren, Jonathan Minor, Farrah Mowery, Cassandra (Mowery) Kinman, Kellen Mowery and Parker Mowery; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kassity, Madison, Henry and Miles. He was preceded in passing by his parents and children, James Mowery, Debbie Minor and Larry Mowery.
Paul was a graduate of Brownsburg High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He met the love of his life, Daphne while stationed in England.
Paul was employed by Allison’s working on airplane engines. He retired after thirty-five years of dedicated service in 1983.
He was a longtime member of Victory Christian Church (formerly, Franklin Memorial Christian Church). He enjoyed watching IU Basketball. He enjoyed building things and had many projects going in his garage.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Monday, December 5 from 1:00 p.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
